‘Greg went to work with the coaches and within a week he’d realized the best way to carry out in a two-man sled. I used to be gobsmacked! Normally it takes 4 or 5 classes. First session he acquired it and simply stored getting higher. I assumed, “Wow, I’ve never seen anything like it”.

‘People thought it was a publicity stunt but it isn’t. To have somebody who has achieved a lot, it conjures up even the veterans.’

In the meantime, Crew GB chef de mission Georgie Harland is assured they’ll journey with a completely vaccinated group and keep away from a 21-day quarantine. ‘Most on the long list are vaccinated and I have full confidence,’ she stated.
